In the spring we were ready to have the driveway installed as a part of our major renovation of a 60s house in Brentwood Bay. The requirements were complex such as: refinement of the slope, addition of a parking pad, integration with the existing carport and new shop, curved edges, challenging Ashlar pattern and modification of the street-side parking area. We had worked with Five Star Paving for a very small job at our previous house but this was a big job!
In a number of visits we worked out the requirements and price. From this estimate phase, right through the return for a final adjustment of the asphalt edge, the job went very smoothly. The company's overall communication was excellent!
The heart of the job, involving 3 teams, was done in 3 days - excavation, haul away; gravel and sand installation and compaction, paver placement, cutting, edging and sand fill; and finally the asphalt skirt to the street. An amazing accomplishment; one that is constantly complemented by the many passers-by! Not to be outdone by the front, the garden now has a fine Five Star entry path, installed this Summer! Clearly we are happy about the experience and result of working with your company.

Thanks for a job well done. We were impressed with the way your crew matched the driveway with the existing rocks at the side. We were also impressed with the dedication shown by the crew and in particular by the man in charge (Wayne McNulty).
